I am aware the hours defined for attendance at office by the Officers of the Court are strictly observed by my Juniors and so far as I am personally concerned I can truly state that if I am late at all I do so on the right side for I am on most days in my Office at half past nine A.M. and do not leave till the hour of closing
As to the Holidays I am rather surprised to find they are kept. I can only call to mind one instance viz: the last Anniversary of Her Majesty's Birthday when I sat as a Commissioner to take evidence in the case of the "Levant" and certainly did so only to suit the convenience of Parties.
